Tarragon, scientifically known as Artemisia dracunculus, belongs to the family of Compositae. Due to its very strong flavor, this plant is also known as dragon herb, estragon, or little dragon. Tarragon usually grows in spring and summer. It requires abundant sunlight during the day. The soil should have good drainage, and the plant needs regular watering but should not be overly wet. Tarragon can be grown from seeds or through planting seedlings.
